So, what are we ready for ...?? Most likely we are ready for what we prepare for.

A runner trains and conditions themselves for a marathon ...it's not just something you go out and do.

Yes, you work at it ...and you put all your effort into it.

Then, when you think you are ready, you go for it!!

Sometimes we need to proceed alone with our goals, but we are a people who have joined together ...functioning as a nation which has adapted to the ever changing world we live in.

That being said, let see if we are ready to proceed as a nation.

I guess, the first thing we should do is to go over a checklist to see if we are prepared:

  • Have we made progress in being a cooperative member in the world community ---Yes.
  • Have we aided those we consider cooperative members in the world community ---Yes.
  • Have we led in the efforts to maintain the health of our planet, reducing emissions and seriously looking into climate change ---Yes.
Looks like we've passed on the top three world concerns, so now how do we stand domestically:

  • Awareness of community safety and need for gun control
  • Core Curriculum to consolidate goals in schools
  • Address issues such as income disparity
  • Provide food stamps and health care for the poorest in our communities and nation
  • Advancement of personal rights, to acknowledge that everyone has the right to the pursuit of happiness ...inclusive of more availability of government standards that lend to these pursuits, such as divorce and abortion & the understanding of youth's needs of exploration and promiscuity
  • Exploring drafts for a new Constitution to replace the old outdated one which no longer meets the needs of our present-day advanced society
  • Using the media as a source to update and educate in our ever advancing society
  • Use the expertise of our Social Services departments to guard against parental overreach
  • Use of Homeland Security to guard against internal anti-government organizations ...such as the Tea Party and coercive religious groups
  • Regulate big businesses and guarantee that we exceed all standards towards the good of preserving our planet
  • Eliminate the stringent obscenity laws that only benefited the prudes attempting to dictate freedom of speech for their own selfish personal agendas
  • Work with the unions that have already demonstrated how their organization can immobilize and lead
  • Bring home our soldiers and provide them with domestic employment to guarantee peace within our borders
Yes, seems like we have a few more things to complete and put the finishing touches on ...but overall it seems we've passed with flying colors.

Do you concur on these points ...enough of them to jump on the bandwagon and sign-on??

So, do you agree we are ready?  We've made the preparations, done most of what needs to be done, and now all we have to do is do it.

It's like the Nike athletic shoe commercial: "Just do it!"

The majority of people have our backing, and definitely seem ready.  They all seem to have our trust and confidence.

Actually, I have to admit, it sort of seems even a bit strange.  It's sort of like the Stepford Wives movie.

It's like the government is the husband or provider ...and all of us men and women are to be submissive. For those who hate the word submissive, and rally against it by claiming to stand for personal rights and liberating themselves from under that yoke ...well, the yoke may be on you.

All who have read any amount of history have seen over and over again, that the government giveth and the government taketh away ...and there is a name for that.

Governments of this sort have been the mainstay of dictatorships.  Under the guise of uniting people under common goals and interests, they have actually trained people to be good victims.

The necessary first step to avoid this from happening ...may be quite difficult for some, while much easier for others.

It requires a necessary first step.

We have to be ready ...to admit we were wrong.

But, to define wrong, there has to be a basis ...not just a changing opinion.

We have to turn back and embrace God, and look to the Bible as our mainstay.
